2016 paddle parade

The 6th Annual Lauri Wright Stand Up for Safe Families Paddle Parade is in honor of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. The Austin/Travis County Family Violence Task Force with continued support from the Texas Rowing Center will host this FUN, FREE, FAMILY-FRIENDLY event. Paddleboards, canoes and kayaks will be available free of charge during the event. WEAR PURPLE at the event in support of Domestic Violence Awareness Month and to show victims and survivors that we STAND with them! This year’s theme is Men as Allies, with the focus on prevention and education. We want to inspire men of all ages and walks of life to take action against domestic violence. We want them to be allies in cultivating healthy relationships. As a community we can come together to promote healthy, respectful, nonviolent relationships and let’s have fun while we’re doing it! See you at the Paddle Parade.
