This page provides an overview of a planned sidewalk project along Patterson Road designed to improve safety and accessibility for everyone who walks, bikes, or travels through the area. By adding a dedicated pedestrian path where none currently exists, the project will enhance connectivity, support safer routes to nearby schools, and create a more walkable, accessible community for all residents and visitors. It also includes an opportunity to share your feedback through a public comment form.
Project Overview
This project is part of the Active Transportation Safety Program and supports Safe Routes to School initiatives. Its goal is to improve safety and accessibility for elementary school students by providing a sidewalk between their homes and school.

Currently, Patterson Road does not have a sidewalk, creating challenges for pedestrians in the area. The proposed project will construct a new sidewalk along the west side of Patterson Road, extending from RM-2244/Bee Caves Road to School Road/Emma Avenue.

The sidewalk will be six feet wide, with an eight-foot desirable width considered where space allows. Located in Precinct 3, the project is intended to enhance safety, improve connectivity, and support walkability within the community.
