Justice Planning (JP) performs a number of  justice functions.

These roles include:

Providing policy analysis and recommendations to the Travis County Commissioners Court; coordinating collaboration among departments in the Justice & Public Safety Division and other county agencies; cultivating partnerships with community-based agencies that work in and/or serve individuals who are involved in or at-risk of becoming involved in the  justice system; leveraging local, state, federal, and nongovernmental resources to strengthen and sustain justice planning and programming in Travis County; and designing and implementing local justice programs, such as Travis County and the Workforce Development Program.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
