Do you have friends, family, loved ones who you think would be great at and interested in giving back to their community through an AmeriCorps year of service?

If so, Travis County’s 4-H CAPITAL AmeriCorps Project is still filling Full Time and Half Time AmeriCorps Instructor positions for their 2016-2017 service year. This is a great opportunity for young people who are just graduating high school or college and looking to give back and/or explore their options in a fun, hands-on, and communal experience as part of the 4-H team, while collecting a living stipend, benefits, and an education award that can help reduce future education costs. Serving as a 4-H CAPITAL Afterschool Instructor is also a great opportunity for seasoned employees who are looking for a career or life change or for retirees who want to put their wealth of experience to use for a good cause.

Regardless of background, all AmeriCorps members will benefit from a multifaceted training regimen, professional development, community engagement, and accumulated work experience. If you think you know someone who could benefit from and embrace this fun, collaborative service opportunity, please send them the attached recruitment flyer and have them contact Michael Thielvoldt (Instructional Specialist & Recruitment 4-H CAPITAL Project, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service 1600 – B Smith Rd.
