The public is hereby notified that Mr. Cliff Blount will hold a public hearing at 8310 N. Capital of Texas Highway, Suite 490, Austin, Texas 78731 on June 14, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. to consider a tax exempt financing in the maximum principal amount of $7,000,000 to be issued by the Crawford Cultural Facilities Corporation to finance or refinance all or part of two buildings to be owned by FC Mission Plaza, Inc. and located at 2900 and 3000 S. Interstate Highway 35 in Austin, Texas (the “Project”).

The Project will be used by Foundation Communities, Inc. Foundation Communities, Inc. will occupy certain floors of the building located at 3000 S. Interstate Highway 35, Austin, Texas as its headquarters. Foundation Communities, Inc. will occupy certain space at 2900 IH 35 to be used for client services. Foundation Communities, Inc. provides affordable housing communities throughout the greater Austin area and North Texas. Foundation Communities, Inc. also provides income tax preparation, financial counseling, health insurance enrollment support, healthy living initiatives, and a variety of youth and adult educational programs for low to moderate income families and individuals.

THIS DEBT IS NOT A DEBT OF THE CITY OF CRAWFORD, TEXAS OR TRAVIS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND NO OTHER PUBLIC FUNDS ARE INVOLVED IN THIS FINANCING.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
