Public service recognition week 2020 is celebrated from May 3rd to May 9th.

It is our belief that now, more than ever, we need to recognize the amazing work of our nation’s government employees.

We publicly honor all public service employees for their groundbreaking work being done in government and especially ALL Travis County employees by choosing to make a difference in a public service career and providing the many services that benefit all citizens of Travis County.

Public Service Recognition Week is celebrated the first week of May since 1985 (beginning on the first Sunday of the month) to honor the men and women who serve our nation as federal, state, county and local government employees.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
