The processing fees for personal bond releases vary based on the bond amount set during magistration by the judge.

  • If the bond amount is less than $1334.00, the processing fee is $20.
  • If the bond amount is greater than or equal to $1334.00, the processing fee is $40.
  • If there is a condition ordered by the judge to install the Ignition Interlock Device (IID), the processing fee is 3% of the bond amount, $300 maximum.

These fees are due for all personal bonds whether released via personal recognizance or through an attorney within 7 days of release. Other fees owed to Pretrial Services: With the IID condition, in addition to the processing fee, a $10 fee will be charged for each month the device is installed and monitored by Pretrial Services. Please do not send payments in advance.

  3. Enter the amount paying and the reference name/PT number
  4. There is a 2.75% fee for service online with a minimum of $1.00

2. By Mail

  1. Mail money order or cashier’s check to Travis County Pretrial Services, P.O. Box 1748, Austin, TX 78767
  2. Make money orders or cashier’s checks payable to Travis County Pretrial Services

3. In Person

  1. Money Order, Cashier’s Check, and Credit Card payments accepted Monday – Friday 7:30AM – 4:00PM
  2. Credit Card payments accepted Monday – Friday 4:00PM – 8:30PM
  3. Drop Box: Holidays and Weekends 8:00AM – 8:30PM (no cash in drop box)

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
