Project Background
The East Metropolitan Park Pavilion located in Manor was a popular site to reserve for weddings, birthday parties, and other family events since it opened in 2007. However, due to inadequate foundation construction on top of expansive clay, the foundation of the building suffered and rendered the building unsafe to use.
Funding was received to demolish the building and complete the design of a new group building. As design plans near completion, the current construction total estimate is $5,000,000.
Once completed, the new building will meet the community’s needs by providing a reasonably priced rental facility for family events and group gatherings in a climatized building with lighting and audio/visual.

Project Details
Construction of a new Group Building at East Metro Park New Facility General Program includes:
- Space to serve 280 persons in a variety of event settings (Most space intensive setting will be seated dining, dancing, and live entertainment)
- Restrooms for uses intended, Catering Preparation Kitchen, Storage
- IDF Room, Support & Circulation Space
- Outdoor Grille, Outdoor Gathering Space
- Improve and extend parking lot lighting
- Existing parking will be utilized as parking for the facility
