Become a Certified Master Wellness Volunteer by receiving 40 hours of training in Health & Nutrition. Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is accepting applications, call 512-854-9598. In return volunteers are required to give back 40 hours of service. Our volunteers are equipped to teach and educate our communities, businesses, and schools. Apply now! Space is limited. Cost $50.00 to cover materials costs.

Texas A&M AgriLife Extension is committed to "Improving Lives" through relevant research-based education. AgriLife has numerous programs to help Texans learn and adopt behaviors that can possibly impact their lifestyles. The Volunteer Program expands the outreach of the wellness programs such as weight loss programs, healthy cooking school and food safety.

Should YOU volunteer? All that is needed is an interest in living healthfully and helping others do the same.

Thursdays from 8:30am-12:30pm on 1/22,1/29, 2/5, 2/12 & 2/19 of 2015
Tuesdays from 5:30-8:00pm on 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/17 & 2/24 of 2015

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
