STAR Flight is hosting a 30th Anniversary Celebration on May 16 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Travis County Commissioners Courtroom at 700 Lavaca in Downtown Austin (map). Patients transported and victims rescued by STAR Flight, along with current and former STAR Flight staff, are welcome to attend. Everyone is invited to celebrate STAR Flight's 30th Anniversary at the annual Open House on May 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the STAR Flight Hangar (7800 Old Manor Road, Austin, TX 78724). The Open House, which also honors National EMS week, will include helicopter flight demonstrations, hands-on demos of equipment and the opportunity to explore the helicopters and talk to pilots, crew and staff.
