The Austin Parks and Recreation Department in partnership with the Landscape Architecture firm DWG will host part two of the stakeholder and community engagement process for the Woolridge Square Preliminary Plan. Join us to see how your input from the first public meeting and survey were used to develop the landscape design vision for Wooldridge Square. DWG will present two design concepts followed by a brief breakout session, where staff will be available to answer questions and collect additional recommendations. That input will help the design team develop the Premilinary Plan for Wooldridge Square.

The proposed preliminary plan will seek to improve the park with intentional programming that supports stakeholder and client program recommendations in addition to those recommendations outlined in the Downtown Parks and Open Space Master Plan and the Downtown Austin Plan of 2010. The purpose of the preliminary plan is to consider the context and the historical status of this downtown square and incorporate a stakeholder process with the leadership of Downtown Austin Alliance, Travis County, Friends of Wooldridge Square, Austin History Center, Preservation Austin, Texas Historical Commission, and the Austin Parks Foundation.
