The Travis County Sheriff's Office and Travis County Constable Precinct 2 will co-host the 3rd Annual Central Texas Public Safety Cadet Competition for Public Safety Cadet and/or Explorer programs on May 31st. The one-day competition event is designed to have challenging scenarios based on current Texas law enforcement standardized training which will test Cadets/Explorers' knowledge and skills. We will host teams from all over the state and hopefully a few out-of-state, approx. 200 attendees.

We’re looking for volunteers (18 yrs. and above) to assist with:

  • Team Check-In
  • Volunteer Check-in
  • Scenario Actors
  • General Event Staff (assigned where needed)

Location: McNeil High School | 5720 McNeil Dr, Austin, TX 78729
Time: Approx. 6 AM – 8 PM; Shift times based on assignment

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
