Who We Are

Pretrial Services is a county-funded department that interviews defendants and makes recommendations to the Court on whether a defendant should be released on Personal Bond. Pretrial Officers also collect information for the Court's use in determining whether or not a defendant qualifies for court-appointed counsel. Our Case Management Pretrial Officers monitor compliance and provide case management to assure that defendants report to the Court and successfully complete court-ordered treatment or comply with other conditions.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
