Pilar Sanchez, County Executive
The County Executive for Health & Human Services reports directly to the Travis County Commissioners Court. The County Executive has direct management responsibility for the Travis County Health and Human Services and the Travis County Texas AgriLife Extension Office. The County Executive also has direct accountability for the Community Development Block Grant, Public Health, and Animal Services provided to Travis County residents via an Interlocal agreement with the City of Austin.
The Community Liaison Program promotes, advertises and assists in the implementation of the Travis County Health and Human Services programs through contact with various organizations, government agencies and outreach initiatives. The Community Liaisons assist neighborhood associations and non-profits in becoming self-sufficient by providing technical assistance, advocacy, and resource development.
