Travis County is conducting a restudy of flood risk in the Maha Creek watershed to incorporate best available science in the definition of revised floodplains. The Maha Creek watershed is generally located in the southwestern corner of Travis County, including parts of the Cities of Creedmoor and Mustang Ridge. This study utilizes the latest ground surface terrain data (2017 LiDAR), crossing information based on field survey and measurements obtained in late 2019, as well as updated analysis using NOAA Atlas 14 rainfall data.

Travis County is seeking feedback on the preliminary floodplain revisions through a virtual public meeting that can be accessed at traviscomaha.halff.com . The virtual meeting includes a video describing the study as well as a web map where you may leave comments and questions about the proposed changes to the floodplains. The virtual public meeting can be accessed through any internet connected device – smartphone, tablet, or computer. The website will be available till the end of 2021.
