Diversion Center Community Town Hall Meeting

Join us on July 25th at 6:00 PM for a meaningful discussion with Travis County leaders on the development of the Diversion Center and Diversion Pilot program.

Judge Andy Brown, Commissioner Ann Howard, County Executive for Justice and Public Safety, Vicki Ashley, and County Executive for Health and Human Services, Pilar Sanchez will share updates on the Travis County Diversion Center and Diversion Pilot planning and will answer any questions you may have.

Currently, and far too often, behavioral and mental health conditions are being treated in our jails and on our streets. This reality is taxing our public systems, wasting taxpayer dollars, and generating terrible outcomes for the people suffering from these illnesses. We need a new way! Diversion systems in other communities have proven to be a cost-effective solution to reduce crime and improve public safety, while providing people suffering from behavioral and mental health conditions a pathway to stability and community integration.
