Commissioner Shea is sharing, with the Commissioners Court, the City of Austin's resolution regarding their economic development agreement policy timeline as it relates to public hearings and public transparency on future economic development agreements. Commissioner Shea would like to see the County's revised policy mirror the City of Austin's economic development agreement policy timeline in the areas of public hearings and public transparency.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
