Approved Scenario

On November 23, 2010 Commissioners Court approved Scenario 2A for the Central Campus master plan 2035 development. Based on this approved scenario, phasing plans will be identified as part of the master plan refinement.

The approved Scenario 2A includes the restoration and reuse master plan concept for the Heman Marion Sweatt Courthouse, which was presented to Commissioners Court in August 2010.

The approved Scenario 2A was based on County internal and public stakeholder feedback on Scenarios 1 and 2 through workshops on September 30-October 2 2010 and also through an on-line survey.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
