Information for Professionals

In 2009, Travis County was granted specific authority by the Texas Legislature to create and enforce its own storm water program, consistent with the requirements under federal and state law. Persons pursuing construction or other development activities in Travis County are subject to specific Code requirements including approval of permits and construction plans. The development community should be familiar with our development review and environmental review process, Travis County Code, and enforcement policies.
